Saint Clair Family Estate Pioneer Block 15 'Strip Block' 2022, Pinot Noir, Marlborough

An excellent bouquet filled with scents of ripe red berry fruits and baking spices, violets and roasted nut then a warm stony mineral quality. It also has a positive reduction layer. Dry with plenty of weight, texture and vibrato on the palate. Core flavours include dark cherry and boysenberry, some raspberry then floral and spice tones. Vanilla, clove and wood smoke all contribute flavour. Firm tannins have polish and vigour. Well made with best drinking from 2027 through 2034+.
