Eva Pemper Single Vineyard Reserve Pinot Noir 2023, Marlborough

Youthful, complex and intriguing bouquet with layers of ripe cherry and blackcurrant alongside those of sweet vanilla gently smoky wood tones. There’s a floral layer with a rose then violet touch. Some dried spice and clay earth tones add complexity and depth. On the palate a dry wine with an equal level of intrigue and style. Core fruits lead to an abundance of fine through slightly coarser mouthfeel, plenty of acidity for freshness too. A wine that is developing still with harmony and best drinking from 2027 through 2034.
